FOUNDATION & ORIGINS

The Founding of Zhen Kong Jiao

Zhen Kong Jiao (真空教) was founded in 1862, during the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty, by Liao Dipin (廖帝聘, 1827–1893) in Changning County, Jiangxi.

Liao Dipin, together with his four close disciples — Lai Renzhang (赖仁章), Lan Juyin (蓝菊音), Ling Bangbi (凌邦壁), and Zhang Shengjian (张声见) — became known as the Five Founding Masters of Zhen Kong Dao.

As Zhen Kong Jiao continued to develop, its teachings spread from Jiangxi to Guangdong, Fujian, Jiangsu and Zhejiang, and subsequently to Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines.
